Chairman / CEO SSO: Responsible for the strategic direction and growth of an emerging commercial cybersecurity and outsourced IT company delivering secured IT solutions for small to medium sized businesses. SSO (Secure Smart Office) also delivers secured smart office products to bring voice control and environmental controls to the office as a secured, integrated solution. SSO helps to build the office that people love to come home to – improve 1/3 of your day!
Chairman Protecting Tomorrow 501(c)3: Responsible for the strategic direction and growth of a quickly growing non-profit focused on securing, protecting, and educating students in schools, women online, SMBs, emergency response organizations, and transitioning
veterans to successful civilian careers. Protecting Tomorrow also helps to drive security into emerging technologies from the ground up. Industry & Government:
Mr. Sailors has excelled in the Defense and Intelligence industries for over 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force by launching and supporting special mission spacecraft. Mr. Sailors was a technical advisor for the government and represented the United States in countries around the world. He helped identify and steer new technologies in the US as the technical advisor to the Joint Directors of Laboratories reporting to the Joint Chiefs of Staff and to leaders of NASA through the STIG (Space Technologies Interworking Group). Mr. Sailors has made major contributions to several intelligence agencies in roles reporting to the staff of the Directors of those agencies. As a Chief Engineer and Director at the largest US Defense Contractors, Mr. Sailors has helped to design, build, deploy and support the operations of missiles, aircraft, UAVs, and spacecraft. He has been instrumental in developing, designing and deploying systems to ensure that the critical information from these systems is delivered quickly, safely, and securely to the DoD and IC customers across the globe, who are highly dependent on receiving that information to achieve the critical mission of protecting our nation.
Community, Law Enforcement and Emergency Services:
Mr. Sailors is on the Executive Board for InfraGard San Diego, a partnership between the FBI and industry and commercial businesses to protect critical infrastructure. He is also an Infrastructure Liaison Officer (ILO) and Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) with the San Diego Law Enforcement Coordination Center (SDLECC).
SSO culture fully supports community involvement and support to warfighters and veterans. As a veteran, Mr. Sailors leveraged much of his military and post-military experience by serving as the Battalion Chief for Special Operations for volunteer fire and rescue response in the wildland-urban interface in the hills and mountainous areas North East of the city of San Diego. In this first responder role, Chief Sailors supported community and academic initiatives.
Mr. Sailors is a Fellow at the Gordon Engineering Leadership Center within the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering, and serves on the Engineering Advisory Panel to students and faculty. He is on the founding board of CASTER, a UCSD center that leverages the Internet of Things (IoT), advanced research, and new technologies to assist the emergency response community. He also serves on the Cyber Technical Advisory Panel for National University, an accredited NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity. Mr. Sailors has also been instrumental in helping to establish the new cybersecurity program collaboration between USD and InfraGard San Diego and in creating and facilitating cyber security training programs for high school students.
