SAFETY & SECURITY COORDINATOR, CAJON VALLEY UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT
Ryan has over 23 ½ years of experience in the criminal justice field, encompassing a core leadership, strategic, and tactical execution while being employed by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department from 1993 to 2011 and the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office from 2011 to 2017. Mr. Love represented both the sheriff’s department and district attorney’s office while working numerous assignments to include, but not limited to, the
jails, patrol, School Resource Officer, Drug Enforcement Administration Narcotic Task Force, the Gang Prosecution Unit and the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force.
Ryan retired from the San Diego District Attorney’s office in August 2017. In September 2018 he was hired by the Cajon Valley Union School District as the Coordinator, Safety and Security. Ryan plans, organizes, directs, and implements the District’s security program to provide protection, security and safety for all students and staff. He participates in a wide variety of investigative activities regarding incidents pertaining to campus safety and security; develops plans and coordinates and trains staff in crisis response measures; ensures compliance with state codes, local ordinance, and District protocols and regulations; performs related duties as needed.
Ryan has a Bachelors’ Degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters’ Degree in Public Administration. He was born and raised in San Diego California and played collegiate baseball at California University of San Bernardino where he earned the honors of 2ndteam All-America his senior year. Ryan has an identical twin brother, he’s married with 3 kids, enjoys playing softball, golf and spending time with his family.
